“What must I do to be saved?”

Friend, let me ask you something. If you died tonight, are you 100% sure that you would go to Heaven? If your answer is, “I’m not sure”, then may I ask why not?

The Bible says in 1 John 5:13, you can know how to be saved, and be confident of your eternal home in Heaven. The Bible has the answer…

  1. Realize that you are not good. Romans 3:10-12
  2. Realize that you have sinned against God. Romans 3:23; 5:12
  3. Realize there is a judgment day coming for your sin. Romans 6:23,
    Revelation 20:13-14
  4. Realize that you cannot save yourself. Romans 3:20
  5. Realize God has provided the ‘Way of Salvation’ from your sin. Romans 5:8-9
  6. Realize you must place your complete faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the Cross. Acts 16:30-31; Romans 10:9
  7. Realize that God will save you right now, if you will receive the Lord Jesus Christ. (John 1:12; 2 Corinthians 6:2)

These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

1 John 5:13

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Romans 3:10-12

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Romans 3:20

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Romans 5:8-9

And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Acts 16:30-31

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
